Bio

Oberon Rose is the songwriting partnership of Tommy Oberon and Rebecca Rose, a duo whose music blends folk, country, blues, glam rock, and classic pop into a sound that is both timeless and unmistakably their own. Tommy composes the music while Rebecca crafts the lyrics, a division of roles that gives their work both unique structure and emotional depth.
The duo has drawn praise from notable tastemakers. Amy Lame of BBC 6 Music describes Oberon Rose as “a dynamic combination of folk, country, blues, glam rock and classic pop,” while Lee Zimmerman of Goldmine Magazine calls their sound “rocking, robust, and decidedly their own.”
Oberon Rose’s journey began in New York City, where both artists were deeply embedded in the underground creative scene. Tommy played in bands while interning at recording studios, absorbing the technical foundations of audio engineering and production. Rebecca was active in theater and artist collectives, honing her lyrical voice and narrative sensibility. Their paths converged naturally, leading to their first collaboration and the start of Oberon Rose.
Their debut song, "Young Goodman Brown", became the opening track on their self-produced debut album, 'One Divine Day'. From there, the duo continued to work independently, releasing a series of self-produced studio albums. With each project, Tommy further refined his skills as an engineer and producer, shaping Oberon Rose’s recordings entirely in-house.
“Recording and producing on a DIY budget can be challenging,” Tommy says. “It definitely requires a creative approach. My goal is to keep the process simple without sacrificing sound.”
That independent, underground ethos has paid off. Oberon Rose has released four studio albums of original material, each receiving notable radio airplay across the United States and the United Kingdom. Their hands-on approach to songwriting, recording, and production has allowed them to maintain complete artistic control while steadily expanding their audience.
Oberon Rose released their fifth studio album, 'The Sun Stood Still', on August 8, 2025 via their own imprint, ThouART Records. The album broke into the Top 25 on the Submodern Album Chart, earned Top 5 Climber status on the NACC chart, and reached #1 on NPR member station WBJB 90.5 FM—continuing a catalog defined by independence, craftsmanship, and a strong music vision.
